Obituary

On Tuesday, March 23, Denice Morgan, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, spiritual sister and spiritual mother passed away peacefully at the age of 71.

L. Denice was born on September 8, 1949 and resided in Harlem NY with her mother Deloras Davis. Denice was a beloved only child. After a previous marriage that produced 2 children, Lisa Cook and Devon Spruill, in 1975 she wed Freddie Morgan Jr and they had 2 children Sharmaine Phifer (deceased) and Freddie Morgan. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage serving side by side as Jehovah's Witnesses.

Denice was a devout Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years, helping countless individuals to find the truth and dedicate their lives to the Kingdom ministry. Over the years Denice had the privilege of serving in many capacities to further the advancement of the Kingdom interest including serving as an Auxiliary Pioneer, Regular Pioneer, and on the RBC (Regional Building Committee).

After returning to Nursing School in the early 80's she received her nursing degree and spent many years working on various units including pediatrics and hospice care. She loved helping others and went above and beyond to serve in her community. She managed to help countless individuals during her decades of service in the medical community and found great joy in her nursing career.

Denice is survived by her husband Freddie Morgan Jr, her children, Lisa Cook, Devon Spruill, daughter in law Tia Spruill, Freddie Morgan, and daughter in law Astria Morgan. Her grandchildren Robert Spruill, Maliyah Cook, Jordon Spruill, Quincy Spruill, Imani Phifer, Jackie Morgan, Robert Morgan and a host of spiritual nieces and nephews.

As a Jehovah's Witness, Denice lived with a spiritual hope to be able to live again in paradise. She was a pillar in the community and will be missed by many.
