Mrs. Lucille Ramsey, 90, of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her residence.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, a beautiful precious life was called to be with the Lord. Lucille
Hagens Ramsey died peacefully on her 90th birthday in her sleep at 11:01pm. She was born on
October 5, 1933 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the last Alvin Hagens Sr. and Janie Gray
Hagens.

Lucille "Bunch" was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Chapman Ramsey;
her baby son, James Ramsey; brothers, Jimmie, Leroy, Belton, and Elvin Hagens, and sisters, Ruth
Hagens Springs, and Willie Mae Hagens Gwinn.

Mrs. Lucille Hagens "Bunch" was a loving wife, mother, and family member. She had a gentle,
kindhearted, and nurturing spirit. She was a stellar cook and storyteller who enjoyed nature and
watching TCM (Turner Classic Movies), National Geographic and Animal Planet. Lucille had a
host of other natural talents such as sewing, hair braiding, and gardening. She enjoyed taking
care of family and cherished her pet Eskimo spits, Snow, Poppie, Princess, and Bubbles. Lucille
also enjoyed engaging in conversation about life experiences with her sisters.

Lucille Hagens Ramsey leaves behind two devoted daughters, Barbara Ann Ramsey Gaston,
Marie Louise Ramsey; one son, Robert Esau Ramsey, all of Charlotte, NC; devoted grandson,
Benjamin Timothy Ramsey of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Prince Bernard Ramsey of
Lawrenceville, GA; devoted granddaughter, Alice Zellars or Mooresville, NC; other grandchildren
and great-grands; sister, Minnie Hagens of Charlotte, NC, sister-in-law, Ernestine Hagens of
Salisbury, NC; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

To our mother in heaven, we thank you for always loving your children and guiding us. Even
though you have physically left us, we still feel your loving spirit guiding us. As we told you in
your final hour, continue to watch over us and guide us. You will forever be in our hearts. We
love you so much and miss you dearly. Until we see you again.
