Our precious angel, Mable Lee Barnette Patterson-Harris, age 77, passed on January 17, 2023 at her home in Charlotte, NC. She was born to Harvey and Cynthia Harris Barnette on January 4, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Cynthia Barnette; siblings, Harvey B arnette, Jr. (Dorsey Lee), Williams Alexander Barnette (Roceita), John Thomas Barnette (Alberta), Sam Barnette (Carolyn), Mary Barnette Pruitt, Patricia Barnette Swift (Howard); Husband, Thomas Harris; and a special niece, Cassandra Barnette Patterson.

Mable was educated in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She attended Sterling Elementary School and York Road High graduating in 1964. After graduating from high school, Mable attended Central Piedmont Community College, and later became employed there as an administrative assistant.

Mable had a glorious relationship with God, and encouraged her children, family, and friends to seek a life grounded in Jesus Christ. She was always ready to go to church when she could. Mable attended Steele Creek AME Zion Church where she was a member of the gospel choir.

Mable Lee greatly enjoyed going shopping, especially beautiful decorations for her home. Inviting her family and friends over to admire her decorative work was a favorite pastime of hers that she dearly loved. She also enjoyed playing the slot machine, whether she was at Harrah's casino in the Cherokee Mountains, or Las Vegas! Another favorite pastime was dining at South 21 and Price's Chicken Coop. Mable leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories her son, Mr. Terance Patterson (Nicole); daughter, Mrs. Adrienne Michelle Patterro Curbeam (Ron);  Goddaughter, Ms. Shawn Horton; and a host of cherished niece, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
