Obituary

Mrs. Frances Curry was born on September 17, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Battle Williams and Linda Mae Hood.

Mae Curry was loved by  many. She always had a sweet spirit and smile through her pain. She loved cooking and baking for her family and especially during the family reunions.

Mae Curry attended Sterling High School in Pineville. She later worked with the school system.

Mae Curry joined Silver Mount Church and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of the Radio Choir, Junior Hymn Choir, and the Mass Choir. Mae Curry loved her choirs and she loved music. She would often cook while listening to Lee Williams.

Mae Curry leaves to cherish many memories her husband, Wardell Curry of Charlotte, NC; three daughters and one son, Juanita Curry (Carlos Adams) of Matthews, NC, Carolyn Pickett (Bernard) of Rock Hill, SC, Francie Minor (Johnny) of Pineville, NC, and Wardell Curry, Jr. (Patricia) of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Cherish Monique Williams (Calvin); four great-grandchildren, Kyla, Quintin, Princeton and Cassidy; two brothers, Nathaniel Williams of Charlotte, NC and Lindsey Williams of Marshville, NC; and one sister, Leithanne Little (Gene) of Indian Trail, NC.
