Magdalene Aurelia McClain, affectionately known as "Darling" went home to the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 in Monrovia, Liberia.
Darling attended St. Theresa's Convent where she was an excellent scholar. She took a double promotion past the 3rd and 5th grades. She was also chosen to attend The Children's International Summer Village in Sweden. She attended the University of Liberia where she achieved a bachelor's degree in the sciences. She was also crowned Miss University of Liberia in 1972.
Darling lived a life that most people can only dream of, she was married to Dr. Randolph McClain for 45 love-filled years. Shortly after getting married, the two of them attended Kansas University together for Graduate School. Darling was the devoted mother of Bokah Worjoloh (Tashwan), Ayaba Worjoloh-Clemens (Michel), Taneh Worjoloh, and Afiavi Worjoloh. She was also the proud grandmother of 4 incredible granddaughters.
While in the U.S., Magdalene worked as a micro-biologist for a short period of time before pursuing her true passion of teaching. She was dedicated teacher of students and mentor of teachers at Harding University High School for 18 years before retiring in 2017.
The world has lost a true gem. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunty, sister, and friend who will live on in our hearts forever.
