Ms. Margaret Russell Williams Reid Haley, 91 of Charlotte, transitioned to eternal life on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her residence.  She was born to the late Lizzie Harris Williams in Rock Hill, SC on November 4, 1929.

Margaret received her formal education in the Mecklenburg County School System.  She was employed with Mecklenburg County Recreation Center for over twenty years.  Margaret was a member of Mayfield Memorial Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years.  She was a member of the Missionary and the Usher Boards and served as a faithful and active member until her health declined.,  Margaret was affectionately known as "Big M" and will be truly missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Haley and her daughters, Janet Fairley and Janice Lewis.

Margaret leaves behind to cherish her fondest memories, three daughters, Brenda Watts, Kim Bailey (Selena) both of Charlotte, NC and Harriett Honeycutt (Mell) of Huntersville, NC; two sons, Steven Reid and Jeffrey Reid, both of Charlotte, NC; son-in-law, Marcus Lewis of Southfield, MI; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.
