Mrs. Margie Earley Parks, daughter of the late Ed Willie Earley and Arliva Earley was born on May 1st, 1934. She departed this life on April 22, 2021.

Margie was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Parks, affectionately known as "Granny" was a long-time member at Greater Mount Zion FB Church where she faithfully served for many years prior to her illness as an usher and devoted choir member.

Mrs. Parks was married to her late husband Mr. Robert Jack Parks for 22 years. She was a former member of the Travelettes Club and was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Parks was a strong and independent, God-fearing woman that was known for her signature apple pies and homemade biscuits. Margie loved her dogs, never met a stranger and didn't hesitate to express her opinion. Her favorite past time was gardening with her flowers, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved daughter Jackie Parks Grier (Danny), her son, Terry Parks (Elousie), grandchildren Daryl Parks (Marina), Terrance Parks, and Allison Parks, two great grandchildren Asha Parks and Haydn Parks, her brother Joe Earley (Helen), her sister Shriley Smith (Sam), sister n laws Mary (Mae) Parks, Ann Parks, Margret Ann Mungo and Maxine Anderson (Ervin) along with a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her special friends Mrs. Carol Scott and Nurse Paula, which she met while living at Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jack Parks, a brother Leroy Earley, Reverend Eugene Earley Sr, Sisters Ella Evans and Lousie Evertsz.
