Mrs. Marian Frances Lane, 92, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Novant Health Main.

Marian Frances Lane was born Marian Frances Thomas, July 17, 1932, in Abbeville, SC. She was a retired surgical nurse and member of the Bahá'í World Faith.

Marian is survived by her children, Charles Thomas (Debbie), Violet Winstead (Darrell), Denise Binta Humphries, Cecilia Jones (Larry), and Curtis Humphries (Monet) and a brother James Thomas (Cheryl). She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marian loved all of her brothers and sisters, Samuel Thomas, Ruth Thomas, Magnolia Williams, Julia Johnson, Mable Thomas, Albert Thomas, and Bessie Kirby, who preceded her. After the passing of her husband, Charles Lane, Marian moved from Kokomo, IN to Charlotte, NC in 2003.

A memorial hosted by her children will be held at her home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
