A TIME TO DEPART: While Marie Yvrose was indirectly saying her final goodbyes leading up to her departure, Marie Yvrose Sanon Lafortune fully transitioned on September 5, 2021 in Charlotte, NC.
A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN: Marie Yvrose was educated in the school system of Haiti and later traveled to the US with one thing in mind, to have a better life so she can help her family. Her dedication of helping the family stretched from Orlando, FL to Charlotte, NC. In Orlando, Marie Yvrose worked as a social worker and continued her works in Charlotte, NC for over 23 years with Grant Adult Care Homes. Marie had a passion and generosity out of this world for helping people, during her off time from Social Work she began to be an au-pair for a few special children who looked at her as "grandma." Nonetheless, her amazing work spoke for itself.
LETS SPEAK ABOUT MARY YVROSE AND WHAT SHE ENJOYED: Marie Yvrose was one of the sweetest, caring, and selfless individuals one who could ever encounter. She was a dedicated and hard worker to many which ranged from Haiti, to Florida, and ending here in Charlotte. However, her greatest pride was being a mom and a grandmother. She loved her children beyond the stars and taught them the way of life. Respect and care for all. Her grandkids, they were everything to her. It wasn't a request they made that she didn't attempt to fulfill especially their favorite cooked meals. Marie's dedication to her country was unmatched as she shipped boxes by the load monthly to family and friends. A true angel here on Earth as she never met a stranger, it showed through her kindness, her love, and willingness to help all. She enjoyed family, she enjoyed people, and lastly, she enjoyed the walks of life.
A TIME OF MEMORIES: Preceding her in death are her parents, Mr. Elias Fortune and Mrs. Yfosia Sanon Lafortune. Two sisters Marie Lafortune and Bouloute Lafortune of Haiti. Lastly, two brothers Daniel Lafortune and Elira Lafortune of Haiti.
Those who remain to cherish the precious memories of her life: Erlande Lafortune (Rico Garry Laurent) of Canada, Yves Francois of Orlando, Florida, Tania Laurent of Charlotte, NC, and Natasha Laurent Johnson (Jay Johnson) of Charlotte, NC. Her grandchildren: William Edmond, Ricardo Laurent, Jawaun Laurent, Eva Laurent of Canada, Gallioni and Sabrina Francois of Orlando, Malik Hamrick, Jaden Johnson, Paighton Johnson, Phoenix Johnson, and Miles Johnson all of Charlotte; Three additional grandchildren Austin Harper; Kaden and Kali Myers who gained the honor of calling her grandma through au pair also in Charlotte, NC One brother Daniel Lafortune of Haiti; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, along with many other relatives and friends.
