Obituary
Mrs. Marie Traeye Scott, 90, of Charlotte, NC, died on November 16, 2017. She was born in Fernandina Beach, Fl., to the late Harry and Grace Traeye. A lifelong educator, she retired from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System after teaching at York Road High School (Robert F. Kennedy) and Alexander Graham Junior High School.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a noon funeral at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 2301 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph, her devoted husband of 59 years; sisters, Minnie Brocco and Harriet Williams.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her children, Joanne Edington (Charles, II) and Harry Scott (Carol); grandchildren, Charles, III (Natalie), Scott Edington, Kristen Saunders (Gary), Joseph Scott, II, Jacqueline Scott; sister Sarah Clayton; sister-in-law, Janet Coleman (Alden); six great-grand children; and host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
