I was born on August 8, 1961, to Emma Lee and Lincoln Frazier, Sr. My parents were amazing, and I was blessed to have two moms, Emma Lee and Faye Frazier. Heaven became my forever home on January 15, 2023. As I walked through the pearly gates, I was welcomed with open arms by my mom, dad, stepmother, and daughter, Kendra.
I graduated from Garinger High School in June 1979. Education was always important to me, so I later received additional education from Johnson C. Smith University and Central Piedmont Community College. I was employed for several years as a CNA and provided at-home care services to elderly and special needs individuals. In the late 1990s, I started working at a law firm uptown. From that moment, my uptown life was never the same. Many of you received a call or email from me during my Horack Talley (HT) days. Not only was HT my job, eventually it became my second home. Oh, how I enjoyed the office parties and potlucks. My home is still filled with the many gifts I've received from over the years, and I've kept one near and dear to my heart.
When I wasn't working, I was enjoying time at home. I absolutely loved hosting gatherings for my family and friends. From pumpkins carvings to holiday parties, I found great peace in knowing so many memories were created in my backyard. Some may call me the life of the party. If I heard my song, I was certainly going to dance (and make you dance also). During my quiet time, I enjoyed reading and watching old black and white movies.
If you knew me, you knew how much I adored and admired my children and grandchildren. I know my physical presence will be missed by many. Please find comfort in knowing my spirit remains with you all. To my children, Anquinn and Tanaya (Antoine), I will always be near you, watching over you, and making sure you are both are walking in your blessings. To my grands, the best title I ever carried was grandmother. Kendra, Ken, Kennedi, Kiari, Kingston, and Khloe-please be kind and know that I will never let you walk this journey alone. I also inherited two kind-hearted grandchildren, Tanajah and AJ-always strive for greatness.
Some may not know this, but I was the baby amongst my siblings. To my brothers, Lincoln, Jr., Herman, Ronald Dean (Deborah), and Ricky Dean-thank you for being powerful big brothers. To my sisters-Phyllis, Elaine, Annette, Brenda, Rosie Harris (Curtis), Betty Baker, and Priscilla Gaddy-thank you for always encouraging me. To my uncles, James Mackey, Howard Massey, and Gilbert Massey-thank you for always encouraging me. To my aunt, Mary Ellen-thank you for loving me unconditionally. To my nieces, nephews, and cousins-please cherish the memories we've made and hold them near your heart.
I've been blessed to be called Friend by many. I hope you all continue to cherish those memories as much as I did. I hope you all continue to cherish those memories as much as I did. My closest friends were more like soul sisters. To The Birthday Club-Pamela, Angela, Tremecia, Thumbalina, an dAlaffia (Naya, I'm not forgettings you)-thank you for being my sisters and best friends. Some of my best memories were created with you. To my prayer partner, Tracey Judge-thank you for your conversations, prayers, and laughs. To my close friends, Diane McPherson, and Linda Mobley-thank you for being my rock.
My journey now continues from above. I am at peace. If you don't do anything else, always walk in your greatness.
