Marilyn Yvonne Gaymon was born in Fairmont, NC on February 21, 1957. She entered into eternal peace on April 8, 2023, at Presbyterian Novant Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Unexpected and Too Soon.
Marilyn, known as Von, was a loving and kind, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Marilyn lived and enjoyed her life by her rules. She did not care what anyone said, it was her life to enjoy and live and no one else's.
She did her best not to stress herself out and, now, she doesn't have to worry about anything, anymore. Now, she is in God's place. Marilyn was a quiet person but recently, enjoyed spending time with her senior buddies at Eastway Recreation Center. She was a fan of football and had her favorites.
Marilyn graduated from Fairmont High School- Class of 1975 and, then proceeded to Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC and earned her Accounting Degree. She worked hard on achieving her dream and retired from UNC-Charlotte in 2020.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Ann McNair, father, William McNair, and brother, William McNair Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories, Edith McCollum (Fairmont, NC), Maggie Moore (Charlotte, NC), Paulette Houston (Lexus), Hattie Howey (Mitchell), Helen Moss (Angier, NC), Paula Brown (Elmore), James Franklin McNair (Charlotte, NC), Hosea McNair (Tracey) (Fairmont, NC), Lawrence McNair (Sara) (Dillon, SC) along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and longtime friends.
