Mark Anthony Edmonds, 45 of Charlotte, transitioned into heaven on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence. Mark was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 12, 1974, to the late Vivian Anita Gross and Mark Edmonds Sr. He was his parent's youngest child. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Vivian Anita Gross.
When Mark was young his family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He excelled academically and very outgoing. To meet Mark was like "lighting in a bottle" it cannot not be contained, and you saw when it was present. He never met a stranger, outgoing, smart and great sense of humor!
At the age of 11, Mark was expected to die following a head injury in an automobile accident. There was little hope of living a normal life, if he were to live. Not only did he live a normal life but many years later.
He was proud graduate of Mergenthaler High School in 1992 and received a full academic scholarship from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. Mark graduated from Morgan State in December 1997 with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
It was while in college he discovered his great passion for web design. Mark was gifted and talented in many areas. He chose Wed Design by profession for many years in Baltimore, Maryland. Mark was a published author, he wrote a children's book Brutus "The Quickest in the West" in 2009. Being a writer was a dream since his youth.
Mark relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015. He continued in Web Design and also was a Licensed Insurance Agent. Mark was tenacious in the business industries and always gave a 100%, nothing less would do for him.
Mark enjoyed sports and was one of the Biggest Baltimore Raven fans! He also liked science fiction movies and comic books. He loved life, enjoyed traveling, good food and spending time with his family.
Mark accepted Christ in his youth, he loved God and ministering the Word of God and was unapologetic in Praising God. He was thankful of the Miracle God did in his life. At a drop of a hat, he would tell you his "testimony". He reminded any and everybody of WHAT AN AWESOME GOD, WE SERVE!!!
In 2016 Mark met his wife Gwendolyn "Teresa" Edmonds. She caught his eye immediately. Teresa appreciated his persistence, confident, and was not ashamed to express his love for her. They married December 2016 in Charlotte, NC. Mark dreamed big and took her along for the ride. He valued the gifts and talents in her. Mark changed and enriched her life. He was her biggest encourager and she was his. Always wanting God will and best in each other!
Mark was a faithful member of Victory Christian Center since 2017. He served in the helps ministry at VCC, in the areas of Men's Shelter and Door Greeter.
To know Mark was to love him, and you remembered him in a good way. He left you with his contagious smile humorous and witty personality and again his "testimony".
He leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife, G. Teresa Edmonds; father, Mark Edmonds, Sr.; sister, Sierra (Archie) Veale; Mother-in-law, Bobbie Perry; Father-in-law, Joe Louis Massey; Sister-in-law, E. Michelle Perry; two nieces, Judith Veale and Tyresha Jackson and one nephew, Jonathan Veale and one great niece, Riley Jackson; one uncle, Anthony Russell; one aunt, Brenda Wilson, and grandmother, Lillian Good and a host of cousins, family and friends.
