After the loss of her husband, Mary relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in December of 1987. Here she served as an active member of the Greater Providence Baptist Church in various ministries.
After ninety-six years of earthly labor, our Cousin Mary was call by our Lord and transitioned to her rightful place in glory on September 1st, 2020. Mary was preceded in glory by her husband, Willie Cromedy, in 1984 and her son Arthur Stanley in 2018. She is survived by her sister Annie Vera Fields of Orlando, Florida.
She is remembered fondly by her nephew, nieces, and friends as a smart, warm and witty woman who could hold her own in any conversation. She was generous with her wisdom and had a penchant for fostering a sense of independence, self-sufficiency and the entrepreneurial spirit with young women. Thank you for your love and guidance.
