Ms. Mary Frances Sanders King was born June 1, 1945 to the late Rufus and Lillie Mae Sanders. She departed this earthly life on March 20, 2021.

Mary was a 1963 graduate of Second Ward High School in Charlotte, NC. Early in life, Mary joined the Grace Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Inc. and was a faithful member of the Usher Board and the Hymn Choir.

Mary was an employee at Carolinas Medical Center, now known as Atrium Health, where she was a loving and faithful employee until her retirement after 45 years.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents along with her two sons, Rico Dejuan King and George Washington King III.

Mary leaves to mourn her precious memories sons, Grover Sanders (Loretta) of Charlotte, NC, John King Jr. (Carolyn) of Morganton, NC, daughter, Tona Dean (Robert) of Charlotte, NC, sister, Annie Lee  Brown of Detroit, MI, aunt, Elizabeth White, special cousin, Earlene White, extended daughters, Angela Porter and Wanda King, seventeen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
