Obituary
Mrs. Mary Lee Davis McCollie, daughter of the late Mattie and Edward Davis was born May 24, 1924 in Charlotte, NC. She received her eternal wings on July 31, 2020.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Mary joined Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.
She was united in holy matrimony to Wilburt McCollie on June 3, 1945. The union was blessed with 50 years of marriage and 6 children. Mary and Wilburt led by example building a foundation enriched with culture, legacy and unconditional love.
Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Wilburt and 3 of her children, Levern McCollie, Mary McCollie and James McCollie.
Her assignment included caring for her family as well as nurturing children. She instilled in everyone the importance of keeping God first, working hard, and practicing excellence.
Left to cherish loving memories are her devoted children, one daughter Phyllis Flax and two sons Wilbert McCollie and Raymond McCollie (Julia) all of Charlotte,NC. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
