Ms. Mary Evans Moore, 81 of Charlotte, NC was called home to reside with our Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born on July 21, 1940 in Simpsonville, SC to the late Wilmer and Corrie Evans.

Mary attended Bryson High School in Fountain Inn, SC. Mary came to Charlotte in 1959 and trained and worked as a nursing aide in area nursing homes. In 1961 she married George Moore (deceased) and a few years later became a full-time homemaker.

Mary enjoyed singing and dancing, following the Carolina Panthers and loving on her "Sugar", grandson CJ.

Fondly remembered is Mary's heartwarming smile and sweet and engaging personality.

She was preceded in death by sisters; Sudie McPherson, Lydia Tyson, Maude Thomason, Carolyn Jamison, Christina Byrd, Thomasina Williams, and Dorothy Evans and brother; Elliot Evans.

Mary is survived by her children Georgia Moore (Fred), Violet Carter (Clayton), and Samuel Moore; grandson Clayton Carter Jr. (CJ); sister Deborah Ellis (Henry); brother, Wilmer Evans Jr. (Gwen), sister-in-law Josephine Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.
