Mary Ann Steadman, 65, passed away on January 1, 2023.  Mary was born on December 7, 1957, in San Pedro, California to Eldora Rose Steadman and Mack Neal Steadman.  She was the youngest daughter of six children.  She graduated from Garinger High School and continued her education at the University of Charlotte.  After receiving her bachelors degree in Nursing, she worked at Presbyterian Hospital before joining the U.S. Air Force and Navy.  She loved her patients and made sure they received top care during her decades of nursing.

Mary loved spending time with her family.  She dedicated her life to making sure that they felt loved and secure.  Later in life, she took on the love of swimming and aerobics.  One of her greatest accomplishments was learning how to swim.  She also enjoyed putting together puzzles with her husband, John Williams, and watching Dr. G: Medical Examiner.

Mary is survived by her husband, John, and sons, Marcus and Johnathan Williams (and his wife Alaina Williams).  She was beloved by her son Xavius (deceased) and daughter-in-love, RaSheeda Price.  She will be remembered by her siblings, Beverly Faye Steadman (deceased), Mack Neal Steadman (and his wife Brenda Steadman), Carol Yvonne King (and her husband William King), William Jeffery Steadman and Kenneth Steadman (as well as his wife Marselene Steadman).  She will be cherished by her lifelong friend, Pauline.  She also was a mother-in-love to family friend Brandy.  She had seven grandchildren affectionately referred to as her "seven grands": Anthony, Jazzlin S. Williams, McKailyn L. Williams, Briellen Lyric Williams, Sienna Williams, King-Wintir Xavius Williams and Judah Williams.

Brothers-in-law include William Dozier (Von Dozier), Ronnie Dozier (Margaret Ouya), Jessie Dozier (Calvenia P. Dozier).  Nieces and nephews include Lil' Ron Dozier, Angela "Angie" Dozier Bridges (Christopher Bridges), Angelo Dozier, Jillian Dozier, James Dozier, Felicia Dozier, Jazzarae Dozier, Tyrell Lowery, Patrick King, Daniel King (Travita King), Glenn Steadman (Ashleigh Steadman), Rashonda Steadman Burkett (Ryan Burkett), Leah Steadman, Latoya Wilson (Pernell Torrence), Latonya Wilson (Darnell Drayton), Sharron White and Yvonne White.  Mary also had the joy of being a great-aunt to many great-nieces and great-nephews.
