Mrs. Mattie Lee Crank, 83 of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her residence.

Mattie Lee Crank was welcomed to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  She was born May 19, 1939 in Kannapolis, NC.  She later moved to Charlotte, NC.

She attended Central Piedmont Community College for Nursing School.  She worked in the nursing field until she retired.

Mattie was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church from 2017 until her health prevented her from being active.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crank; son, Antonio Portlock; mother, Rozella McConneyhead and father, James McConneyhead.

She leaves behind three daughters, Rose Ramsey, Lesia Bessy, Sharon Campbell; two sons, Johnny Campbell (Dorthea), Lawrence McConneyhead; one sister, Rosemary Boyd; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
