Mattie White Pride CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Mattie White Pride, 89, of Charlotte, passed on June 22, 2014 at CMC University. Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church with C. Don Steger, Ph.D., Pastor officiating, Visitation will be from 12 noon to 12:40 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Beatties Ford Memorial Garden, Huntersville. Mrs. Pride was born in Edgemoor, SC on February 21, 1925 to Melvin and Omeree White, educated in the Chester County School System, she was married to the late Rev. Marcus L. Pride. She belonged to Eastern Star #424 and Reeder Memorial. A Domestic worker, Mrs. Pride was last employed and retired from the Sigmon family. Survivors are: daughter, Dorothy Bell; sons, Sylvester (Henrietta), James (Carolyn), Ronnie (Sandra), Naion (Darlene) and daughter, Veronica Pride, all of Charlotte.
