Maxime Leger, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 24, 2020 at the age of  96.  Born in Les Cayes, Haiti on December 7, 1923, Maxime immigrated to the United States in 1963 because he wanted to experience a better life for himself, his wife, and his children.

Maxime was a man who lived with strong principals and morals.  He was devoted to his family and expected everyone around him to pursue high standards and the rewards of faith, education and family unity.  Throughout his life he spoke French fluently and enjoyed listening to music-especially classical and Big Band Jazz.  His favorite instrument was the piano.  Maxime was known as a man of integrity, determination, consistency and independence.

Maxime was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Solange (Delerme) Leger; his son, Eddy Leger; and four siblings, Marcel, Jacques, Anne-Marie and Guy.

Maxime is survived by two sons, Pierre-Richard Leger and Karl Leger; two daughters, Pascale Williams and Marie-Alice Philippe (aka Malou); three daughters-in-law, Edwidgh Leger, Carol Leger, Colette Leger; one son-in-law, Glenn Williams; two brothers, Adrien Leger and Pierre-Michel (aka Pierrot) Leger; one brother-in-law, Jan Delerme; four sisters-in-law, Suzon Leger, Mona Leger, Marie Solange (Misol) Delerme and Ketty Leger; fourteen grandchildren, Kathy, Alix, Edeline (Corey), Edna (Darnell), Edwina, Philippe (Joyce), Lydia (Alex), Carline (Evan), Katina, Karl Jr., Marcus Michaelle, Christine and Rachelle (aka Chelley); sixteen great-grandchildren, Brianna, Caylyn, MacKenzie, Corey Jr. (aka CJ), Savannah, William, Gavin, Harrison, Antonio (aka Toyo), Reginald (aka Deuce), Helena, Julian, Ruben, Micah, Jace and Kaleb; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
