Maxine Morgan was born in Charlotte, NC, and attended West Charlotte High School. Maxine became a Certified Welder by trade and worked at the Westinghouse Turbine plant where she built electrical, gas, and nuclear turbines.
When the Westinghouse plant closed, she worked for Pneumafil, where she retired as a Senior Welder. Maxine graduated from Central Piedmont Community College right after retirement with her High School completion. Her love for the Lord, family, and friends is unmatched and has provided her with a relationship with God that we all strive for, as well as dedicated friends and a loving family.
Maxine is preceded by her deceased parents Elmore Douglas and Flora Douglas, brother Theodore Barnhart, and sister Bertha Spratt.
Survivors are her brothers, Elmore Douglas, Jr. and Joe Douglas (Annie LEe), and sister, Macy Marie Douglas. Children, Cynthia Mackey (Stafford), Henry Lee Hunter, Jr., Rodney Lee Hunter, Danyell Tianta Wardlaw (Ai).
Maxine leaves eleven grandchildren, Porcia Douglas, Stephanie Mackey, Marissa Mackey, Ariel Hunter, Sariah Hunter, Maxine Hunter, Gertie Hunter, Celine Hunter, Laura Hunter, Brandon Siharaj, and Dezarai Wardlaw. She also leaves fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
