Mrs. Melissa "Meesie"  Howard Wylie, 57 of Charlotte, departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.   She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Lee Miller and John Robert Howard, was born August 7, 1964.

Melissa was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.  She was educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  Shortly after high school, she gave birth to her son, Markeze Howard.

For several years, Melissa worked for Krispy Kreme, Holiday Inn and several other jobs to support her family. She then met the love of her life, Bryan "Kent" Wylie.  They married June 5, 1993.

Melissa enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family.  She shared laughter and joy with everyone that she came in contact with.  She never met a stranger.  Everyone loved her.

Melissa suffered through serious illness for several years until she was called home to be with the Lord.  She never will have to endure pain again.  Thanks be to the Lord.

Melissa leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 28 years, Bryan; her father, John Robert Howard (Alice); son, Markeze Howard (Allison); granddaughter, Marciera "Cece" Howard; brothers, Ronnie Howard (Laverne), John Howard, Gregory Howard; sister, Jackie Brown (Robert); four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members.
