Melvin JonQuel Withers, 38, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Atrium Health University Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Melvin Jonquel Withers, born July 9, 1988, son of the late Pamela Withers and Melvin Weathers, departed this earthly life on September 17, 2026.

Melvin was a former Patriot at Independence High School. He worked for UNC-Charlotte and also with a janitorial company. He was the “life of the party,” dance moves like no other. Everyone who came in contact with him loved him dearly. He was a very bright spirit and will truly be missed.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Pamela Withers and Melvin Weathers; grandparents, Doris Withers and Lloyd Reeves.

He leaves behind his daughter, Princess Melanie Withers; two sisters, Cherrica Withers and Shavondra Withers; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
