Michael Tyree Brooks was born on January 19, 1974, to Vivian Stowe and Charles Michael Brooks, in Charlotte, NC. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2022. Michael was 48 years old.

Michael was the oldest son of five siblings, two girls, and three boys. He was preceded in death by his youngest sibling, Montrell Brooks.

At an early age, Michael joined and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, NC.

Michael attended elementary school in Texas and Hawaii. Upon returning to North Carolina, Michael attended Northeast Middle School, West Mecklenburg High School, and graduated from West Charlotte Senior High School, Class of 1993. Upon completion of high school, Michael continued his education at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Michael's last place of employment was in food services at UNCC where he was employed for ten years,

Michael enjoyed many things, some of which were movies, music, and sports. Early in life, Michael played soccer in middle school, he played football, and in high school, he played football and ran track. Track became Michael's sport of choice. He excelled in track by becoming the fastest 100 meter runner between 1991 and 1993. Michael was awarded a full four-year scholarship at North Carolina Central University.

Throughout the years, Michael has met and retained many friends. He is loved by many and will be missed by all.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his father, Charles Michael Brooks; mother, Vivian Stowe; one and only child, Aijan Pitt (Justin); one and only grandson, Aiden Pitt; brother, Maurio Brooks, sisters, Cara Boyd Sinclair and Mesha Brooks, all of Charlotte, NC; just like sisters, Shonda Smith and Ebony Williams; two special cousins, Rickyto "Rock" Stowe and Dawn Charity Davis,; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; many, many cousins and friends, along with four very special friends, Thomas Watson, Carlos Cloud, Mike Stitt, , and Christy Brayboy.
