Michael Edward Gooden was the son of the late Willie C. Robinson and Mary Jane Gooden of Charlotte, NC. He was born August 14, 1956 and departed this life on November 1, 2019. Michael graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1975. During his younger life, he was one of the founders of the band called "Wildfire" and traveled in the cities of North Carolina and surrounding states.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons Marquis L. Cunningham (Davida) and Andwelle W. Eaves (Vana) of Charlotte, NC; one daughter Tamika Harris; two cousins Keetoowah Bey and Martha Duren of Charlotte, NC; one brother Willie Kirkland of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Rose Alexander. We want to give a special thanks to Randy Jenkins and their group Wildfire.
