Michael Antonio "Tony" Ivey of Charlotte NC, husband of Diane Lanham Ivey departed this walk of life on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1958 in Denver, Colorado to the late Willie Sr. and Vida Kearns Ivey.

Although Tony worked in accounting, he found his niche in Retail Sales primarily focused on menswear. He has been described as GQ, cool and always dressed to impress, for that reason, he was able to style and suggest proper alterations, all with a big smile. Tony had a strong love for music and was passionate about playing and customizing his guitars. His passion for writing and composing music led to the formation of Avanzar, a small local band. His home music studio was his haven and happy place, on the weekends he could be found playing, composing, and listening to music. Another hobby of his was riding and repairing bicycles. He was known to take two old bikes and make one good bike.

He was married on September 20, 1998 to the love of his life, Diane. They enjoyed many of God's blessings in their 25 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gale Dimetria Waldron and brother Charles Eric Ivey, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Diane; brothers Earl and Willie Jr. (Dorthea), sisters Thelma and Renee, all of Spotsylvania, VA; Aunt Elnora K. Bryant of Lansing, MI; a niece raised in the home, Kashieka Ivey of Camp Springs, MD and Goddaughter Kyrie Lanham of Charlotte, NC; sisters-in-law Cathern Ivey of Spotsylvania, VA, Vivian Lanham, Dorothy Cunningham (Tracy), and Effie Callaham, all of Plum Branch, SC, Cynthia Conway (Leon) of Greenville, SC; brothers-in-law Joseph Lanham (Tanya) of Brunswick, GA and Darrell Lanham (Emily) of Columbia, SC; Special nephews Charles Eric Ivey Jr. and Cedrick Callaham (Makisha). Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends to mourn his passing.
