Michael Anthony Lide was born on May 10, 1963 in Darlington SC. He was the second child of the late Marion Lide and Mary M Lide. He entered eternal rest on November 13th, 2020 At Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas Medical Center.

He was educated through the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools System. Employed as a Driver for a Cement Company. During his young adult life Michael confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior. Michael was a fun-loving person and never met a Stranger. He loved to fish, loved gardening and just a Jack of All Trade. He loved to travel and enjoyed nature. He loved life and lived it to the fullness even during his sickness.

He was there for his family and friends. There was always laughter in the air when Michael was around, he considered himself a comedian. He reminded you of Fred Sanford. It was never a dull moment when he was around. He was the life of the party Michael left all his children with life lessons.

He was preceded in death by His grandmother Irene Rodgers, Sister Cassandra Lide and Nephew Ja'Ron McGill Sr.

Michael is survived by his mother Mary M. Lide. He also leaves to cherish Five children; Sabrina Morrison, Michael Lide Jr, Chaquana Morrison Woods (Henry), Tierra (Niecy) Lide and Marion Lide, of Charlotte NC, 11 grandchildren Avion Morrison, Messiah Morrison, Jaliyah Woods, Elmyra Walker, Jakayla Woods, Naekyia Walker, Ja'ron Woods, Jeremiah Sanders, Jaleesa Woods, Amina Sanders and Jacob Woods, siblings; Edmund E Lide (Melinda) Jacqueline (Jackie) Lide McGill (James) Scott Lide of Charlotte, NC; and one Uncle Willie Marion Moore Of Lakeland, Florida, Girlfriend, Priscilla Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews' cousins and friends.
