Michael Edward Morrissette, 65 of Charlotte, NC transitioned on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at The Citadel at Myers Park.  He was born on June 13, 1956 in Pascagoula, Mississippi by his parents, the late Ledger Morrissette and Hattie Rebecca Morrissette.  He attended Magnolia High School in Moss Point, MS.

He is survived by 3 brothers:  Ledger Morrissette, Jr. (Shirley) of Charlotte, NC, Timothy Wayne Morrissette, Escatawpa, MS and Rickie Darnell Morrissette, Moss Point, MS; three sisters: Patricia Ann Thames (Marzine), of Mobile AL, Marzetta Yancey (Charles), of Boston, MA and Mona Lisa Morrissette, of Atlanta, GA.  He was an adored Uncle to a host of nephews and nieces in North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Massachusetts.

Michael loved to listen to all kinds of music and traveled extensively.  He lived in Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, Delaware, Indiana and Massachusetts where he was employed in the culinary industry.

He said that he learned "to live one day at a time".
