Ms. Millicent Josephine Green, 74, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Atrium-Main.

Millicent Josephine Reese Green was born April 11, 1950, and passed peacefully in her sleep August 11, 2024. She was the youngest daughter of the late Walter Alexander Reese and the late Dorothy Pettus Reese.

Millicent was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for the majority of her life and served in the Sunshine Band as a child and the Hymn Choir and Kitchen committee as an adult.

She was employed at the Park Assistant Living Center for many years but decided to leave her job and dedicate her life and time to support her mother until her passing in 2009.

Millicent or Millie Jo was the loving mother of seven children and nurtured many more. Her doors were always open on hinges of love to anyone in need. Her humor knew no bounds. She was the kind person with a purpose that made her value presently known. She was truly a reflection of those who came before her and those she left behind.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Alexander Reese; mother, Dorothy Pettus Reese; older sister, Brenda Yvette Frazier; older brother, Kenneth Alexander Reese; younger sister, Sybil Reese; and her grandson, Addison Ray Lipscomb.

She leaves behind her son, Steven Arnold Reese (Tonya); daughter, Trimmel Denise Reese Lipscomb; son, Willie Lewis Reese; son, Terry Coleman Green, Jr.; daughter, Neaji Lorrine Green; son, Joseph Timothy Green (Tamika); son, Johnny Ray Green (Tihisha); and brother, Walter Eugene Reese, Sr. (Tammye).

She also leaves behind (23) grandchildren (15) great-grandchildren and special friends Wanda Davis, Mildred Hall, Judy and Tonette Scott.
