Mother Millie Aikens 104 of Charlotte, NC was born on June 22, 1915. On October 16, 2019 Millie received her angel wings when the sunset, she was surrounded by her family.
Millie was a homemaker, caregiver, and most importantly faithful servant unto the highest God. Millie began her Christian journey at a young age and was a dedicated and active member receiving her message of God even until her untimely death. Millie continued this faithful journey until the very end under the leadership of Dr. Lynch and Ebenezer Baptist Church. Millie was also a great cook who loved to make Sunday dinner for her family and friends.
As the master saw fit, he carried Millie and Joan to their heavenly throne, and blessed the family, Chole Cater and Cerae Joan Alexander on October 19th.
Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Winslow Aikens; her daughter, Joan Alexander; grandchildren, Yvette and Francisco Alexander; one great-great grand, Carter Alexander.
Millie is survived by her grandchildren, Monique, Angela and Christopher Alexander (Demetric), eight great-grandchildren; Celestine Rushing, Quan Rushing, Vaughn Alexander, Chevaia Alexander, Christopher D. Alexander, Christopher F. Alexander, Rashekia Alexander, and Christique Alexander; 20 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
