Obituary

Mr. Nathaniel "Nate" Chambers was born to Mary Louise Chambers on October 6, 1956 in Charlotte, NC. He peacefully entered into his eternal rest at Atrium Medical Center on November 24, 2022 with is loving wife Patricia and sons, Nate II and Jeremie by his side.

Nate was a 1974 graduate of Garinger High School were he was an extremely gifted athlete who played football and basketball. He subsequently attended North Carolina A & T State University. After 20 years of employment, her retired from Sterigenics on September 30, 2022. Nate was an active member of St. Paul Baptist Church where he has been disciple since 1981. He also served in the Deacons Family Ministry, Men's Fellowship and Men's Choir.

Nate loved life, he loved God, and he loved his family, He had an outgoing personality, always greeting everyone with that infectious smile and hug. Nate, had a heart of gold, that reflected his relationship with God. He will be remembered most for the selfless acts of kindness to those in need. Nate was an all-around talented gentleman with the natural ability of a handy man who could fix almost anything. In his pastime, he loved sports and was a devoted UNC Tarheels basketball fan. He was a passionate New York Giants fan. He also loved to watch westerns and old shows such as Andy Griffith & Matlock. Nate's other pastime was a daily phone call of harassment to (his close friend), Eric Bussey, for their love-hate relationship of verbal sparring back and forth.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Chambers; four sisters, Mildred Anderson, Lee Arie King, Josie Chambers, and Deborah Chambers; three brothers, Melvin Robert and Marvin Chambers.

Nate leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of forty-one years, Patricia; two sons, Nathaniel Chambers II (Mary Siplon), and Jeremie Chambers; his beloved grandson, Nathaniel "Trayce" Chambers III and Trayce's sisters, Amani and Maliyah Simmons; his two sisters, Annettte (Reggie) and Jackie Chambers; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  His legacy will live on in  the hearts and mind of everyone he interacted with.
