Mrs. Nellie Fewell McManus was born on December 7, 1947 in Charlotte, NC to the late William and Hazel White Fewell. She departed this life on Sunday May 31, 2020 at Harris Hospice, Novant Presbyterian Hospital.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Mr. James White and Mr. William Fewell Jr. Mrs. McManus has been a member of Greater Galilee for more than 30 years. She was a former member of The Musical Choir, The Tower Singers, and the Hymn Choir #2. She was also a member of the Hospitality Committee until her health started declining. Her specialty was baking cakes which she put a lot of love into. Her favorite time was preparing those wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners which was enjoyed by the entire family.

She leaves to cherish fond memories her husband of 42 years Mr. Ben Frank McManus, three sons: Mr. Reginald Fewell of High Point NC, Mr. Michael Fewell (Lisa) of Waldorf, MD, Mr. Gary Fewell (Lori of San Diego, CA, three sisters, Mrs. Donna Butler (Bill) of Concord, NC, Mrs. Elaine Glenn (Bernard) of Rock Hill, SC and Miss Jo Ann Everette of San Antonio, TX, three brothers Mr. George White (Doris) of Cornelius, NC, Mr. Billy Fewell (Cynthia) of Charlotte, NC, and Mr. Ronnie Fewell of Charlotte, NC, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
