Obie Lee Rozier was born on April 6, 1940 from the union of the late Monroe and Ada Mae Rozier of Dublin Georgia. The middle son of eight children, Obie has two surviving siblings, his sister Odessa Rozier and his brother Doug Rozier.
Obie was a dedicated and loyal employee of City of Charlotte Sewer and Maintenance department for twenty-nine years. He enjoyed his career and he always had a passion for helping others.
Obie has an abundance of loved ones who are left to celebrate his life. These include his beloved Jean Adams; sister, Odessa Rozier of Dublin, Georgia, brother, Doug Rozier of Dublin, Georgia; niece, Annie Rose of Dublin, Georgia.
Left to remember fond memories are his five children, Obie Lee Rozier Jr., Anthony Rozier (Clarethra), Janine Rozier, Janet Rozier, and Natasha Adams; eight grandchildren, Mantoris Robinson, Antorio Rozier, Brittany Stowe, Breonna Rozier, Shaniqa Adams, Dominique Adams, Ganiyu Jordan Ibrahim, Jabril Adams; three great-grandchildren, JaDavian Thornton, Armani Thornton, Everly Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including life-long friend, Ola Mae Rozier Jones.
On October 26, 2016 at 8:43 a.m., Obie surrendered his spirit to the Lord for an eternal life. He will live forever in our hearts.
A funeral service in celebration of Obie' life will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Grier Memorial Chapel, 115 John McCarroll Avenue. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The burial will follow at Beatties Ford Memorial Garden.
