Mrs. Ona Mae Alexander, 84 of Charlotte, NC., departed this life on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Novant Hospice & Palliative Care.

Mrs. Ona Mae Gibson Alexander, 84, of Charlotte, North Carolina transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born in Iredell County on January 4, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Albert Lee Gibson and Minnie Patterson Gibson.

She attended schools in Mount Mourne, North Carolina and was a faithful member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church where she served in the Beautification Ministry.

She was married to the late Robert Alexander and to this union was born two sons, Robert "Randy" Alexander who preceded her in death and David Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, David Alexander; one brother, Andrew Gibson of Charlotte, NC; one sister-in-law, Elaine Gibson of Huntersville, NC; one daughter-in-law, Diane Tyler; grandchildren, William Baldwin, Jammie Barrett, Robert Duncan; seven great-grandchildren , one great-great-grandchild, whom she loved dearly; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
