Mr. Oscar Lee Strange Jr., 73 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday November 14, 2019 at Accordius Health Care.

He was born on August 9, 1946 in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Paisley High School in 1964.  Before retiring in 2008, Oscar worked for Guilford Mills and Douglas Battery.

He was a dedicated/diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.  He loved playing cards (Spades/Bidwhiz) and didn't mind letting his opponents know he was a very skilled player.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verte Foggie, father, Oscar L. Strange.

Oscar is survived by his stepfather, Thomas M. Foggie; his loving wife, Hilda Strange; three sons, Oscar L. Strange, III (Neicey) of Winston-Salem, NC; Ivon Smith of Winston-Salem, NC; Jeremiah Smith of Winston-Salem; three daughters, LaTonya Jackson of Charlotte, NC, Henrietta Cain of Winston-Salem, NC and Valvetta Smith of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Thomas L. Foggie, Jr. (Denise) of Charlotte, NC, Brevard Foggie (Shelia) of Tornoto, Canada; four sisters, Joyce Foggie (John) of St. Louis, MO, Janice Davis of Charlotte, NC, Joyce Strange and Brenda Gray of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.
