Mr. Otis William Mobley, 76, of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Atrium Main.

Otis W. Mobley was born on December 26, 1947, to the late Carrie Mobley Carrouthers, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Otis was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

He received his education in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, a graduate of the Class of 1966 at York Road High School.  After working at Lance, Otis started his own business as an interior/exterior designer – Mobley's Painting Interior Exterior Design, where he worked for over 50 years until his health started to decline.

Otis was married to the late Barbara Y. Mobley.  He grew up as a member of Steele Creek A.M.E. Zion Church and later became a member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church.  Otis then became a faithful member of Silver Mount Baptist Church where he served as van driver and usher until his health declined.

In addition to his mother, Carrie M. Carrouthers and his wife Barbara Y. Mobley, Otis is also preceded in death by two brothers, John R. Mobley, Milledge B. Mobley; and sister-in-law, Elvinia W. Mobley.

Otis leaves to cherish his precious memories one son, Donald Walker; one sister, Chavonne M. Allen; one granddaughter, Donika Walker; one sister-in-law, Daisy S. Mobley, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
