Mrs. Pamela Byrd, 62 of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Atrium Health-Main. She was born on January 16, 1957 in Charlotte, NC  and the daughter of the late Jessie Phillips and Frank Phillips.

Mrs. Pamela Byrd attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, worked at Spivey's Convenience Store, was employed with McCarroll's Catering for 10 to 12 years.  Afterwards, she became a stay at home wife.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, believed in bringing family and love ones together with her amazing home cooked meals.  She welcomed everyone with open arms, touching every heart that would come along.

Those who shared the joys and sorrows of life with her and survived to cherish her overwhelming spirit: her husband, Mr. Wallace Byrd of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Shawn Phillips, Natisha Phillips, Tammy Phillips, Sharon Dean (Stintson), Shutonya Phillips Brown (Teddy), Denise Gwin (Bishop Gwin), Sabrina Reese (Leslie), Leslie Steele, all of Charlotte, NC; sons, James Phillips and Tony Byrd; four sisters, Ms. Terry Hunter, Ms. Vanter Morrison, Ms. Adrian Phillips, Ms. Pauline Phillips (Mike) all of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Rowland Phillips (Block) that preceded her in death, Timothy Phillips, Frank Phillips, Jr., Keith Phillips (Darcell), Quenton Phillips (Belinda), Roland Phillips, Tracey Phillips (Vivian); 29 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
