Patricia Brown was born in Varnville, South Carolina on July 17, 1942, to Rudolph Rivers and Elizabeth Johnson Rivers. Her maternal grandparents were St. Missionary Isabella Buttry-and her grandfather Sam Buttry. At the age of 6, Patricia Brown "began to realize that there was a God through the teaching of her spiritual grandfather, Reverend A. Johnson. Edward A. Johnson preached a message one Sunday "The Eagle Stirred the Nest", which led her to the altar. From an early Patricia Brown has always taken on the role of a nurturer, one who has helped her mother with the care of her younger siblings, but it did not stop there. She has been instrumental in the development of many of her family members. She held the awesome responsibility of being the matriarch of the whole family. Not to mention, that she was appointed and served as the spiritual advisor The Unique Caring Network & Foundation for over 20 years. Her anointing spreads throughout generations. You could always just drop by her house and end staying for hours, especially if you sparked up a conversation about the Lord.
She wore many titles in the Kingdom: Apostle, Prophetess, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, and so passionately know as Saint Missionary Brown. Patricia Brown's life can be highlighted in her passion for winning souls. Shourly after the death of her son Demetrius Miller, Patricia Brown accepted Jesus Christ. On April 17, 1981, in her bedroom, located 615 Melanie Court Apartment D, she often recalled in her testimony how she fell knees and cried out to God for help. She said "I was tired of myself and needed God to help me, and as I continued to cry out it was as if Jesus himself came walking through the wall and into my bedroom. My life as I knew it would never the same". She shared her experiences with family, friends, and co-workers. I had become born again and wanted them to have this same experience with Jesus, because I had not met him personally in my bedroom that night. He became so real to me, as I went through death the death of my son, mother, and daughter. God keep me in a mighty way only through his grace and mercy.
According to her, she stated that I contemplated slitting my wrist and committing suicide, but it was like Jesus Christ himself entered my room and rescued me. That would be the beginning of my spiritual journey to win souls for Christ.
In 1981, she joined New Life Baptist Church under the pastoral care of Pastor D.K. Martin. She went on to continue her work at United House of Prayer for all people. She served as a state and territorial missionary. One of her many attributes as a missionary was visiting and praying for the sick and shut-in; she was anointed with the gift of healing and discernment. She went into the hedges and highways winning souls for Christ. Not to mention, conducting revivals, visiting those in jails and prisons. With love and kindness, she was a great counselor for the youth. As a House of Prayer Missionary, a lot of souls came into the kingdom. Her spiritual walk with Christ led her to fellowship with other ministries namely; Healing and Deliverance, Pastor Lisa Willis, and Rivers of Life, Lyndarin Slaughter.
In December 2013, after being slain in the spirit, she received a vision from God after her grandson; Johnathan told her that he wanted to be saved. In October 2014, she obeyed the calling and started Faith Destiny Outreach Ministry in her garage. Her ministerial work at Faith Destiny Outreach Ministry won souls for Christ, taught unadulterated word of God, aided and assisted those in need, and nurtured the new converts with the spirit of truth. Her legacy will continue on and will always be echoed with these words; you must be born again and live righteous and holy before God.
