On the afternoon of June 21, 2020, a soft voice whispered to Ms. Patricia Ann James that in my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Ms. Patricia Ann James was born October 6, 1939 to Bertha James and Robert Hall, who preceded her in death.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy James and Charles Leon James; one sister, Josephine Johnson, and a loving daughter-in-law, Melvin James (Missy).  Patricia departed this life June 21, 2020 at Atrium Health in Pineville, NC.

Ms. Patricia Ann James attended Biddleville Elementary School and graduated from West Charlotte High School in 1958, where she received her cosmetology license.  Her first job was at HK Porter, then Hydro Prints.  Afterward she worked at Converse Distribution Center for 27 years.  Her last employer was Garda World, working there for 15 years.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and united with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, and later Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she was an usher, a member of Missionary Group #3 and the Rain Ministry.

Cherishing her loving memories are three sons, Travis James, Anthony James and Christopher James (Twanda); two sisters, Alice Glenn and Lottie Norris; two brothers, Chaplain Sylvester James, Sr. and Johnnie James; eight grandchildren, Lakeshia Ervin Nealy, Elchinco Harris, Brittaney James, Anequia James, Phillip James, Anquavious Wade, Tierra Harris, and Tiasha Harris; ten great-grandchildren; special nephew, Ronnie Johnson and special nieces, Gwen Johnson and Angie Jeter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
