Patricia Lavigne Reid, 62 of Charlotte, answered her Heavenly Father's call on May 20, 2021 at Atrium Health-Mercy. It is a good to reflection her achievements and a lifetime of memories she left us.  Patricia was born into this earthly life on Wednesday, July 30, 1958 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Wallace and Bernice Lavigne.  After moving to Charlotte, she attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from East Mecklenburg Senior High School.  "Pat", as she was affectionally called, worked in Dietary at Presbyterian Hospital for many, many years.  This is where she met and married her husband, Joe.

Pat was a well-organized independent woman who raised one daughter.  She was a natural caretaker for everyone she knew, but her love was Brian Young who she took in as her son.  She was a devoted member of Faith Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the Hymn Choir.  Her cooking and sense of humor is something we will all miss.   She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her husband: Joe Reid; one daughter, Courtney Lavigne Alette (Alex); sons: Andre Caple and Kenny Wilson; brothers: Wallace Lavigne, Jr., Russell Lavigne (Charlene); aunt: Lela Cureton; brothers-in-law: James Reid (Betty), Leroy Reid (Joyce), Donnie Reid; sisters-in-law: Sheryl R. Teasley (Tim), Diane Smith (Rufus), Barbara R. Walker; grandchildren: Nigel Lavigne, Sydney Alette, Ivey Alette, Alex Alette, Cameron Alette, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.  Pat also had a special love for her granddogs: Oso and Livia.
