Patricia Ann Alston Young, affectionately known as "Pat", was born in Darlington, South Carolina, to Gladys Anthony and the late Willie Alston, Sr., on July 29, 1956. She made her heavenly departure on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Patricia attended Olympic High School. She was employed by the City of Charlotte-Park-It and S & H Homecare Services where she was a loved employee. She was also a member of Temple Chapel Baptist Church.

Pat was a sweet person with a heart of gold. She never met a stranger and loved to greet you with a hug and a kiss. She was a very outgoing person. She loved to travel and spend time with her loved ones. Her family meant the world to her.

Pat was preceded in death by her father, Willie Alston, Sr. and her step grandson, Ja'Von Brown.

She leaves to cherish her life her mother, Gladys Anthony; life partner, Edward Hall; one son, Leon Alston (Sharone) of Wilmington, NC; one daughter, Lakeisha Alston (James) of Asheville, NC; two sisters, Sheryl Sanders and Joyce Stowe (Todd); three brothers, Willie Alston, Jr., Alvin Alston, and Joe Nathan Alston; three step-siblings; grandchildren, Dyasis Alston, Dchane Alston, Dwayne Alston, Demarcus Alton, Kiaria Alston, Deshia Alston, Ja'Ven , Kevin and Jada, Jaliyah Truss, Elijah Hall, Whyatt Culbreth, Aniyah Truss, Aakil Brown, Noah Brown; eleven great-grandchildren, three step children, Keri Hall-Brown, Anthony Hall (Cierra), Brandon Cherry, Ladrawde Davis; six aunts, four uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She also  leaves her extended family, the Hall family.
