Pauline Davis Cross, affectionately known by her family as "Sissy Gal", was born to the late Samuel and Faye Bell Davis. She was the fifth of twelve children.

Pauline was a proud graduate of West Charlotte High School, class of 1964. She loved to dress, and had an affinity for shoes, particularly high heels. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, always giving advice and striving to help others.

Pauline loved her family, especially her girls. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and accepted Him an an early age at Faith Memorial Baptist Church. She later converted to the Church of Christ in her mid-adulthood. She was a faithful servant, devoted mother, and trusted friend.

On November 9, 2022, Pauline departed this life unto glory after a lengthy illness from sarcoidosis.

She was formerly married to the late Willie T. Cross and leaves to cherish her memories, daughters: Dana and Ashley; twin grandchildren; Major and Milan; brothers: Samuel Davis, Jr. (Hattie), Robert Davis(Laura) and Fred Davis (Miranda), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
