Ms. Pauline Taylor, 82 of Charlotte, departed her life on Saturday, January 09, 2021 at White Oak Manor Charlotte. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Deseree Smith.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Taylor; her parents, Lewis an Deseree Smith; her brothers, Donald Smith, Floyd Smith, and James Craig; and Sister Mildred Fewell.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory to her devoted daughters; Martha Chambers (George), Linda Wiley (Johnny), and Mattie Fay Mack. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren including Albert Wiley whom she treated like a son, Juandrique Chambers, Tonya Chambers, Sandtrica Elliott (Rashiem), Bruce Chambers (Lisa), Latania Anthony (Paul), and Joe Chambers (Jonece) all of whom contributed to her 30 plus great grandchildren and 8 plus great great grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves to cherish Deloros Cathey, Marie Smith, Larry Smith, Johnny Smith, Edward Smith (Marilyn), Jessie Smith, and Patricia Boyer (Larry), all from Charlotte, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pauline was married to Jasper Taylor for over 17 years. She was employed by Cumberland Fibers until she retired. She attended Plato Place Middle School.
Pauline was a devoted mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She had a passion for cooking a down home country meal, cornbread, oxtails, collards, and macaroni and cheese. You could often find her in the kitchen cooking and stirring pots.
She also had two beloved dogs she loved dearly. On Saturday you could find her and Jasper taking a weekend ride in his truck.
