Pearl Ruth Gabriel Roberts, 78 years old, departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022 due to cardiac arrest, family was by her side, in Charlotte, NC. Pearl was born on December 17, 1943 in Charlotte, NC to the late Essie Lois Gabriel.  Pearl was married to the late Cleve Roberts Sr. They were happily married for over 40 plus years until his death in 2012.  Pearl and Cleve had two children, Peggy Roberts Anthony (Jeff) and Cleve Roberts Jr.

Pearl came from a family of five siblings.  Her late brothers, Artis Gabriel, Bobby Gabriel, and late sisters, Betty Howard, Annie Bennett & Frances Dunlap.  Frances passed earlier this year in April 2022.

Pearl attended and graduated from Plato Price and York Road High School.  Later on in life Pearl attended American College and graduated becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant.  She was a CNA at White Oak Manor for over 12 years, she loved to care for her many patients at the nursing facility and they loved her cheerful and sassy attitude.  She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.  Pearl was a fiery petite woman that was full of life, loved to laugh and had a heart of gold.

Pearl leaves a legacy of 9 grandchildren:  Cortez, Nila, Celise, Kenton, Yoni, Destiny, Taniya, Jarell & Brooklyn and 2 great-grandsons: Aiden and Boaz. Pearl loved them all and a host of other dear nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives.

She will be greatly missed.
