Mrs. Peretta Sharada Blount Norman, 45 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her residence.    She was born on May 22, 1975 in Plymouth, NC. to the late Edward C. Blount and Pearlie P. Blount.  Peretta was the youngest of the family and the only child of the pair.  Both of her parents gave her a host of siblings from previous marriages.

Peretta was raised in Pea Ridge (Roper, NC) and attended Washington County Schools.  In high school, she was a cheerleader, bringing her bubbly energy and personality to each and every sporting event. She possessed a very calming nature and way of listening to people that encouraged them to really open up and share; that was her superpower.  Although a bit shy, she was very popular amongst her peers, creating several lifelong friendships.  She graduated from Creswell High School in 1993, and later obtained her master's degree in computer science from Liberty University.

She married her high school sweetheart (Wildred L. Norman - a.k.a. Wilt/Will) and together had three children, Keyanne', Jordan and Jalen.  They resided and built roots in the University area of Charlotte, NC.  She was fully devoted to her ever-growing family, perfectly balancing roles as Wife, Mom, Aunt, Sister, Teacher, Team Mom, Bible Study Partner, Mentor, Coach, Counselor, Friend, Voice of Reason and many more.

Preceding Peretta in death were her father, Edward C. Blount and mother, Pearlie P. Blount; eldest brother, Stacey W. Blount and nephew, Malik Hardy.

Peretta is survived by her devoted, husband, Wildred L. Norman; daughter, Keyanne' Z. Norman; sons, Jordan J. Norman and Jalen O. Norman; and two special people that entered her life, Bradley Robinson and Mikayla Dulaney, all of Charlotte, NC.  She leaves siblings, Patricia Howell of Roper, NC; Reginald Blount of Raleigh, NC; Felicia Blount-Allen (Michael) of Cambridge, MD; Andre Blount (Enez) of Raeford, NC; and Maurice Blount of Cambridge, MD; sister-in-law, Tonya Rountree; special aunt and uncle, Clara and Harold Brooks; nieces, Twana James (Daryl), Shureka Howell, Lekia Rogers, Marquetta Nixon (Tim), Janiyah Hardy, Khi'Asia Norman, Makiyah Hardy, Amihyah Hardy, Latavia Brown, Ericka Maxwell, , Nadia Allison, Dana Blount and nephews, James "Man" Howell, Daemon Brown, Andre "AJ" Blount, Jr., Marcus Blount, Reginald Blount, Jr., Lyndell Blount, Xavier Brown, Genry "Budda" Hardy Jr., and Haywood "Manman" Norman; special niece, Erika Hardy (Gentry) - Erika was more than a niece, she was a special friend and they talked each and every day; and special friends, Janet Lee, Lisa Watford and Ebonie Riley.
