Rachel Korto Robinson, 61 of Charlotte, departed this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. She was born unto the union of Martha Guartor Brown and M. Alexander Ketter, Sr. on July 4, 1961 in Weala, Margibi County Liberia. Rachel was the last child of her father and was always seen with her father around Weala.
She then moved to Bongmines from Virginia and lived with her eldest sister, Marylue Ketter Porte and Algernon Porte from 1973 to 1978 and attended the Zaweata School in Bogmines.
She left Bongmines and moved to Monrovia where she joined the Armed Forces of Liberia in 1981, and served her country until she departed for the United States in 1985.
She married the love of her life, Arthur Robinson, on October 15, 2005. He preceded her in death. After a second bout with cancer, she passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Her sister, Marylue Ketter Tamba and brother, M. Alexander Ketter, Sr. preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss her three children, Marvetta Robinson, Regina Dougbe Mensah and Fitzgerald Cole; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson; two sisters, Rose Kun and Laura M. Townsend; four brothers, Edwin N. Brown, Abraham G. Ketter, Phillip Ketter (Laura S. Ketter) and Fayiah Brown; sister-in-law, Catherine Ketter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
May her soul rest in perfect peace and light perpetual shine upon her.
