Mrs. Ramona "Mona" Cathey Neal, daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Cathey, was born on May 10, 1956, in Concord, North Carolina. She departed this life on June 9, 2023, at her home with her daughter Krystal by her side.

Mona was employed as a health care professional, and she cared for her son Jamal at home. She was a quiet woman that did not comment on people's faults; she accepted you as is. She enjoyed being home working and growing flowers in her garden. She was skilled at cross-stitching, which she found relaxing.

Mona was preceded in death by her son Rami Amin Neal, brothers; Thomas McConniehead, Ricky Conway Cathey, and Adrian Karl Cathey.

Mona leaves to cherish fond memories son El-Fatih Jamal Neal, daughter Krystal Neal, grandchildren; Kayla Wuor, Kuhshaun Baker, Kimber Henderson, Kaleb Johnson,and King Cathey, brother; Melvin Cathey(Anita), sisters; Mary Sloan, Cleo Williams (Douglas) all of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Rebecca Graham (Larry) of Huntersville, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

We are sad for you to leave but you have finally found peace.
