Rashod J. Anthony Smith 20 of Charlotte, departed this life December, 30, 2022 at Atrium Health University.

On December 30, 2022, Rashod J-Anthony Smith gained his wings.  He was born October 4, 2002 to Kimberly Cathcart-Smith and Robert Smith.

Rashod graduated from Garinger High School.  He was attending Central Piedmont Community College.

He had a smile and personality that would light up any room.  To meet Rashod was a pleasure.  He was a gentle and loving giant.  He was always humble and the most respectful person you could ever meet.  He loved basketball, and was a living angel.  He was an extraordinary brother and treated Jaylan as his own.  He was the best son a mother and father could ask for.

Rashod leaves to mourn Kimberly Cathcart-Smith (mother), Robert Anthony Smith (father); three brothers, Jantarious Cathcart, Jaylan Smith and Anthony Smith; two sisters, Kristian Smith and Tory Smith; a special sister, Kelley Ervin; nieces and nephew, JaKobe CathCart; four grandfathers, Paul E. Cathcart, C.W. Williams, Henry McRae and Freddie Kelly; one grandmother, Oqlatha Kelly; two uncles, Maurice Smith and Juclameyre McRae; two aunts, Pauline Cathcart and Yolanda Kelly; and a special friend (girlfriend), Derecka Smoutherson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who cared about him.
