MS. Rebecca Darlene Mason Harris (Becky) departed this life on Thursday April 8, 2021 at Atrium health-Main in Charlotte, NC.  She was born September 5, 1973 in Charlotte, NC to the late Jack Neese Williams and Maggie Louise Sanders Mason.

She was educated in Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. Rebecca worked at the Trade Center in Downtown Charlotte for a catering service and also at Presbyterian Hospital in Dietary Service along with other jobs in food service until Rebecca became very ill and was no longer able to work.  She then found her passion to cook for her family and her children. She was a very good cook. You could always call over and she was always cooking a big soul food dinner.  So you knew where to get you a plate and she did not mind giving to anyone.

Rebecca was a one-of-a-kind and very unique person. When you saw Rebecca you knew you was going to hear something funny or she was going to tell somebody off. She meant what she said and you definitely would know it. She did not play! She was a very feisty lady, being around her you knew you were going to have yourself some fun.

She most of all loved her four kids. We all loved her and really are going to miss her but she will never be forgotten.

In addition to her parents Rebecca was preceded in death by her daughter, Shaquille Victoria Harris, one uncle, Fred Williams, two aunts, Inez Gibson and Emma Fielder, two grandmothers Lizzie Darby Sanders and  Stella Williams, and grandfather, Willie B Sanders.

Rebecca was survived by her three sons, Condarius Mason, Justin Harris and Djimon Grant, one daughter,  Makayla Grant, three sisters, Patricia Sanders, Diane Barber (Henry), and Regina Mason, two nieces Reshaunda Mason (Tiffany) and Kima Sanders, one nephew, Derrick Barber, one great niece Thalia Sanders, one great nephew, Com'ron Sorey, and as her long time companion & partner of 18 years Steve Grant, two uncles, Donald Williams (Cynthia) and Harold Williams, one aunt, Betty H Greene all from Charlotte NC and a host of other relatives and cousins & friends.
